After spending almost one year in London, I decided to realize this small and handy reference for Sicilian – English translations. Enjoy :p

  • there is no food for the cat -> nun ci nne’ manciari pa iatta
  • you can dry your mouth -> ti po stuiari u mussu

  • half word -> menza parola

  • he was sticked as an octopus -> s’allippau com’un puppu (suggested by Damiana)
  • make the name and go to sleep -> fatt’a nomina e ‘o cucchiti
  • if you eat, you produce breadcrumbs -> cu mancia fa muddichi
  • let’s cut the head to the husband of the cow -> tagghiamu a testa o’ toro
  • where did you find your driving licence? in the easter egg? -> a unni a truvasti a patenti? nta ll’ovu i pasqua?
